Everyone’s favorite holiday event\, Shamrock Farms annual “Joy to the Herd” holiday celebration December 7th and 8th. \nA unique holiday event that combines a glimpse into a working dairy farm with festive and fun activities\, Shamrock Farms transforms its large Welcome Center Barn into a winter wonderland with holiday crafts\, face painting and more! Of course\, no holiday celebration would be complete without a special visit from Santa and Shamrock Farms’ own jolly spokescow – Roxie! \nThe holiday cheer continues with festive décor added to the cow-spotted tram as visitors take our fun and educational guided Farm Tour where they can get up close and personal with 10\,000 cows and learn about how our pure and fresh milk gets from the farm to table! Other tour highlights include a visit to our milking barn that accommodates 1\,600 cows (milking 200 at a time) plus a visit to our new Roxies Calf Petting Barn. \nReservations and pre-payment are required. Book Here. \nSat.\, Dec. 7 and Sun.\, Dec. 8: Tickets are $15 for adults and children and include all activities. Children under 2 are free. Of course\, no holiday celebration would be complete without a special visit from Santa and Shamrock Farms’ own jolly spokescow – Roxie! \nThe holiday cheer continues with festive décor added to the cow-spotted tram as visitors take our fun and educational guided Farm Tour where they can get up close and personal with 10\,000 cows and learn about how our pure and fresh milk gets from the farm to table! Other tour highlights include a visit to our milking barn that accommodates 1\,600 cows (milking 200 at a time) plus a visit to our new Roxies Calf Petting Barn. \nReservations and pre-payment are required. Bring the whole troop and make some unforgettable memories at this Tucson holiday tradition. \nAs you stroll through the Zoo\, beautifully decorated\, surround yourself in an enchanting wonderland of festive lights\, light shows\, and displays with a flurry of heartwarming activities around every corner.  New this year is a giant\, illuminated Gingerbread house and the return of a towering 35-foot showcase tree and decorative scenes– perfect for your holiday photos. \nRevel in falling snow in the Arctic Zone\, enjoy live entertainment each evening sure to put you in the holiday spirit\, and be sure to visit with jolly St. Nick who will be on hand to hear wishes through December 23.  Savor a cup of hot cocoa from the Flamingo Grill or carts around the Zoo as you experience a flurry of festivities.  There is traditional cocoa and also cocoa with “Santa’s Spirits” for the adults. \nNote: During evening events most animals will be sleeping and not visible to the public.  \nTickets\n$14 Adults (ages 15-61)\n$12 Seniors (ages 62+)\n$9 Children (ages 2-14)\nFree for children under 2\nZoo Members receive $2 off admission Tuesdays – Sundays. \nBulk ticket rates are available for groups of 30 or more.  Inquire about bulk tickets! \nGive Back and Get a Discount:\nBring a donation of 2 cans of food for the Community Food Bank (check out this list of their most needed items)\, a dog or cat toy or food for adoptable pets or a new unwrapped toy for La Frontera (for children aged 2-12) or old and non-functioning holiday lights to recycle and receive $1 off admission.
