SUMMARY:The Guess Who
DESCRIPTION:The Guess Who is a legendary Canadian band who enjoyed chart topping hits in the late 60s and early 70s with an impressive catalogue of songs including “American Woman\,” “These Eyes\,” and “No Time.” During the course of its career\, the band has released 11 studio albums\, and charted 14 Top 40 hit singles\, 2 of which went to number one in the United States. The Guess Who is best known internationally for its 1970 album\, American Woman\, which hit number one in Canada and number nine in the United States\, with five other albums also hitting the top ten in Canada.\nTheir fan base spans multiple generations. Very few bands have survived numerous member changes — let alone having smash hits with each lineup — but The Guess Who’s motto is “the music is the message”. \nThe most recent and up-to-date version of the band has mastered a wildly entertaining romp through the early hits mixed in with their current creations\, while managing to take the whole experience to a new level. Their most recent musical offering is stunningly sophisticated\, searingly emotional\, and musically eclectic\, while remaining eminently singalongable. Their live show is a celebration of life\, being alive\, and thriving in these uncertain times. The Guess Who never leave anything less than their hearts on the stage at the end of every performance.

We took private lessons for years\, we got music degrees at some of the finest music schools in the nation with some of the finest teachers\, and we’ve gone on to perform hundreds of times\, honing our craft. We continue to learn and grow and refine ourselves as musicians and ensemble players every day. \nFor us\, using music as a vehicle to connect people to powerful memories and emotions is our work. SUMMARY:Smokey Robinson\, Live in Concert
DESCRIPTION:Smokey Robinson isn’t just the former frontman of the Miracles\, or the man behind several dozen R&B classics\, or one of the key figures in the initial Motown movement. He isn’t just a National Medal of Arts award winner and an inductee in both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame. Robinson is additionally a fantastic live musician and still a great performer\, with an energy and enthusiasm that is incredible given his nearly six decades of experience in the music industry. These days\, his concerts are celebratory affairs\, with multiple generations of fans coming together to enjoy one of the true legends of American R&B. In epic performances that often last over two hours\, Robinson sings hits from his entire career\, dating back to early Miracles hits like “I Second That Emotion\,” right through to newer tracks like “Don’t Know Why” and “Love Bath\,” off his most recent album\, 2009’s appropriately titled Time Flies When You’re Having Fun. \nFrom humble beginnings growing up poor in the north end of Detroit\, Robinson first brought the Miracles together in 1955\, at the age of just 15. Five years later\, the group signed to Motown Records\, and its first hit single\, “Shop Around\,” became the young label’s first million-selling record. Another 25 hits followed for the band\, including “Mickey’s Monkey\,” “I Second That Emotion\,” “Baby Baby Don’t Cry\,” and the No. 1 hit “Tears of a Clown.” Robinson\, then vice-president of Motown\, started recording on his own\, leading to hits like “A Quiet Storm\,” “Cruisin’\,” and “Just to See Her.” His 2009 album Time Flies When You’re Having Fun hit No. 10 on the R&B charts\, and tickets continue to sell out for his concert tours\, as fans await the opportunity to see this living legend. \n\nGet Tickets
