DESCRIPTION:The Greater Phoenix Pond Society is hosting its yearly FREE open house event Saturday\, May 13\, 2023\, 9am- 4pm\, at various locations around the valley. \nThis family friendly event is open to the public\, as GPPS members graciously open their private ponds for a day of public viewing. Visit a wide variety of beautiful ponds across the Valley\, make new fish friends\, ask pond owners questions\, and delight in the sounds of babbling waters. \nOur enthusiastic members enjoy sharing their ponds\, big and small\, and hope to inspire future pond lovers. Whether your interests are in ponds\, water gardens\, koi\, goldfish\, turtles\, fountains\, or you are looking for some inspiration for your own yard\, join us May 13th! \nThe tour map\, listing all the locations\, is available on the GPPS website after Monday May 8th. \nThe tour is open house format\, view the interactive map from our website and visit as many locations as you would like between 9 am and 4 pm- no public restrooms available\, bring water and wear weather appropriate clothing\, children must be accompanied by adults at all times. \nGPPS was founded in 1996\, and is a group of pond enthusiasts dedicated to the promotion of water gardening and fish keeping in the Arizona desert.

DESCRIPTION:The Tucson Pops Orchestra has been sharing the joy of live music with audiences of all ages since 1955. \nCelebrate Memorial Day with the Tucson Pops Orchestra’s Concert Under the Stars! Enjoy classic patriotic pieces like the Star Spangled Banner and Stars and Stripes Forever by the orchestra\, followed by special pieces by guest artists The Tucson Latin Jazz Nonet. \nThe concert is free\, but for those who are able\, a donation of $10 per person is suggested. \nTips for a pleasant experience: \n\nPlease be considerate of our neighbors.\nRefrain from talking or creating noise during the concert.\nIf you bring your dog\, by law it must be kept on a leash.\nYou can bring your own foods & beverages to the park. However\, glass containers of any kind are prohibited in Tucson City Parks for the safety of you and others.\nPlease refrain from smoking in the general seating area or near sales booths.\nThere is a limited amount of seating at DeMeester which fills up quickly.
