In the summer of 2021, Calexico reunited in Tucson and began writing and recording tracks at their keyboardist Sergio Mendoza’s home studio. Their resulting album, “El Mirador” was just released April 8, 2022. You can hear the title track (https://fb.watch/ctrL9SGbkG/), a slow cumbia about transformation and finding one’s way back home to their heart. It features Gaby Moreno, Tom Hagerman, and Alessandro Stefana.
